Unlike various other embroidery services, we make use of the stitch-count based rates technique. It makes lots of sense when you make use “pay as you go” rates calculator. Dimension based prices are, in some cases, excessive for an easy logo. The variety of stitches differs logo to logo; a 3″ round logo with 100% covered with stitches might have 15,000 to 25,000 stitches.

Not! They constantly base their prices on the greater stitch-count.

How do you match thread colors? Should I send you PMS color codes or Madeira color codes?
It would be much easier if you send Madeira thread codes; alternatively, you can give us PMS color codes for your custom made patches order.
Colors on a display constantly various than the ones on the PMS * shade book; matching PMS publication colors with on-screen colors does not work. The only way to match the shades specifically, 100%, is using a physical PMS shade publication. If you are making use of a PDF PMS color book, you are accepting the distinction in shades, slightly. To avoid this difference, all embroidery services and manufacturers of custom clothing labels utilize PMS.
When we make custom patches, we match any type of thread or fabric shades with the offered PMS shade codes completely free. It assists our consumers to buy the exact thread or fabric colors they need for a task. For background material, we utilize dye sublimation technique to match the required PMS color. We always try to match as close as possible yet remember that Pantone has over 3,000 colors. Madeira, the biggest embroidery thread brand name, has around 500 thread shades. So, there is one thread color for 6 Pantone colors.
What is the difference between demask, taffeta, and satin labels?
Custom woven clothing labels add a feeling of quality and durability to your clothing. They have a timeless look that more modern labels lack, and work well with a wide range of materials. When designing your custom woven labels, there is a range of materials you can choose for the label itself. Here is a quick guide to the most commonly available types of material for woven fabric labels for clothing:
Damask: Damask has a slightly shiny, reflective look and is the most common material for woven labels. This synthetic material has a tight weave, allows for great detail, and is soft and pliable. These labels are durable, easy to sew on, and don’t usually irritate your clients’ skin.
Satin: Satin woven labels are much shinier and softer than damask labels. They have a delicate, luxurious feel to them, and tend to be the prettiest-appearing labels. They tend to be slightly stiffer than the other labels, and often have a lower thread count, but they are less irritating to the skin than the other two materials.
Taffeta: Taffeta has a dull look to it, and has a medium thread count that numbers between Damask, which has a higher count, and satin, which has a lower count. This material tends to be pliable and durable and is often the most cost-effective option of the three. You most often find these labels on canvas, bags or other items where it will be exposed to rougher use than daily use garments.
What is the difference between adhesive and iron on?
Adhesive backing (Peel and Stick) VS Iron on backing (Heat Seal)
Adhesive: These are two different types of attachment methods; we call adhesive backing that has a sticky surface like a sticker. You can apply a patch with this backing without a heat-press machine; just peel and stick. Some people call this backing “peel and stick” just because of the way it works.
Iron on: Whereas, the iron on backing also called heat seal backing needs an iron or a heat press machine to apply. A patch with this backing has a thin layer of “dried” glue that melts and sticks the surface during the application process.
Now, please tell us which of these backings would you like with your patches?
How to find a Pantone (PMS) color code for my artwork
Please go to https://www.pantone.com/color-finder
Enter a Pantone Color Name or Number
You will see lots of shades or variations for your required color; select a color number with the letter “C” at the end. It means “coated” one of Pantone physical books. We use that book to match PMS colors.
Note: On-screen digital color simulations do not match the physical Pantone Color Standards. Refer to Pantone Color publications to obtain actual physical color standards.
How to know if a patch/label is Made in the US?
Many suppliers claim themselves as “US manufacturers” but they are not. They are just registered in the US and can show you their company forming certificates, utility bills, W-9 forms, and other docs, but those documents do not prove that they have any manufacturing units in the US.
Many US companies sell non-US products as “US-made products” So, how do they do that? They receive patches/labels at their US address from overseas; the second step is packing the patches/labels and forward to the buyers. Since the packages are delivered from inside the US, the buyers think they have US-made patches/labels.
We think the only way to verify if a supplier has a manufacturing unit in the US is an invoice from a local vendor. Ask them to show you some invoices/sales receipts from the local vendors from who they buy patches/labels material like thread, yarn, fabric, embroidery supplies, printing supplies, and anything that can prove that they are buying from the local vendors.

What is the difference between a patch and an applique
Patch vs. Applique
When we say “iron on appliques / Velcro appliques” it exactly means “iron on/Velcro patches”
They are pieces of cloth with a logo / text embroidered / printed, and with finished border. They can have an iron on backing, Velcro backing, or adhesive backing; they can also be applied by a sewing machine. Patches/appliques applied by sewing called “sew on patches/sew on applique”.
Patch vs. A filled logo with stitches
In an embroidery design, when we need to cover a large area/background with another color, we have two ways to do that: The first is to use a piece of cloth (called applique) and place in that area/background and cover its edges with a satin-stitch border; the second option is to fill that area/background with stitches. This method needs lots of stitches and costs more than the first one.
A design done as a patch can also have an applique inside it to save the stitches/cost.
Do you charge a fee for design setup (embroidery digitizing / logo digitizing)?
Transforming an artwork (a logo photo) to an embroidery data file called embroidery digitizing or logo digitizing. We do not charge to digitize a logo for custom embroidered patches. The actual worth for this solution is around $30 for the small logo designs and $150 for coat/jacket back logo designs, however, we do it for free!
However, name tapes or name patches ordered in a short quantity like one or two. In this case, we charge $29 for 1 unique name embroidered patch with Iron on backing. We need a unique embroidery file for each name tapes.
Please place an order for custom Velcro patches and see what we do. Any other custom patch manufacturer would charge for this job, but we don’t.
Do you charge a fee for logo artwork creation / logo artwork modification?
All logo designs are not good for embroidery; some logos have too many little information, lays out, letters, as well as gradient impacts. These kinds of logos are not “embroidery-friendly” We simply artworks to make them “embroidery-friendly”. Please keep in mind that we additionally have an embroidery digitizing business; that is why we are good at the artwork alteration. You might not discover a custom patch maker with this feature at the small cost.
What are dye sublimation patches and when do you suggest using printed patches (dye sublimated patches) instead of embroidered patches?
Printed patches also called “dye sublimated patches” are so prominent nowadays; they conserve your money and time. If your logo has a great deal of tiny lettering as well as information, printed spots is the very best option to choose from. A logo design with tons of shades is not possible for needlework. The latest needlework makers have 15 needles; so, we can make a logo in 15 shades optimum, but in the full-color sublimation approach, there is no limit of shades.
When do you suggest using woven patches instead of embroidered patches?
Woven patches are one more fantastic alternative to decorate a shirt, cap, or coat. When we can not put even more information in a small-sized embroidered patch, we go with custom-made woven patches. We provide woven labels and also woven patches at affordable tariff. They are really light-weight. We can make woven patches and woven tags in 8 thread shades optimum. If your logo design has greater than 8 thread colors, you must consider our printed patches instead. Our customized woven patches include the merrow border.
What is the difference between woven labels, clothing labels, and woven patches?
Woven labels or clothing labels are the same things. The woven labels usually have no border or backing. These clothing labels are attached inside the clothing using a sewing machine.
When we add a merrowed border to the woven labels they become woven patches. They also have iron on backing or Velcro backing. These woven patches are attached outside the clothing by one of those backing methods.
